Firm maintaining LED lights in Jalandhar likely to be blacklisted

Even after several days, the Municipal Corporation has not taken any decision on action against the company that has allegedly not been undertaking maintenance of LED lights.

A meeting was held today in this regard but no conclusion could be arrived at. As per the information received, the Municipal Corporation Commissioner may take a decision regarding the company on Wednesday.

Notably, there is a lack of maintenance of lights. Out of 72,000 lights, several aren’t working properly. The MC Commissioner had held a meeting last week with the contractor of the company who is undertaking the maintenance of lights and given a warning. Sources said that the MC Commissioner gave a warning to the contractor to start work failing which the company would be blacklisted.

As per the information available, the employees of the firm aren’t working because they haven’t got the payment yet.

But despite the warning, work could not start today. So, there is a high possibility of the company getting blacklisted.
