The school organised ‘Wonders of Science’, a two-day experiential science workshop for Class VIII students. During the workshop learners were engaged in a number of hands-on experiments, followed by reflective monitoring of the learning process they were going through, which helped them in better concept clarity. Concepts like density, acid-base indicators, buoyancy, chromatography, capillary action, electromagnetic induction and surface tension were explained by involving children in hands-on experiments using things available at home. Discussions and informative PowerPoint presentation enlightened the children about the concepts and helped in bridging the gap between knowledge and wisdom. This workshop helped in instilling scientific temperament in learners.
