CJM holds camp court at Nabha jail

On the directions of the District and Sessions Judge-cum-District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) chairman Arun Gupta, Chief Judicial Magistrate-cum-DLSA secretary Deepti Goyal inspected the New District Jail at Nabha.

She also heard grievances of prisoners and directed the prison authorities to resolve the issues faced by them on a priority basis.

Goyal said special care should be taken to maintain cleanliness in the jail. She also inspected toilets, bathing area and drinking water sources. She inspected and expressed satisfaction over the quality of food being prepared for prisoners.

The CJM briefed the prisoners about the free legal aid available to them. Later, she held a camp court and heard two cases related to the Railway Act and one of theft. She ordered the release of two convicts in the three cases.
